Brandon Richardson scored 12 of his 16 points in the second half and Nebraska pulled away from cold-shooting Oklahoma for a 63-46 victory and its first Big 12 win Saturday night.
“Not much you can say but it was Missouri’s day,” said OSU head coach Travis Ford, who as a freshman basketball player at MU witnessed these kind of days regularly on a Missouri team led by Doug Smith and Anthony Peeler.
Defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat, the No. 2 overall recruit in the country according to ESPNU, announced Friday morning that he will sign with Texas. Jeffcoat had narrowed down his finalists to Texas, Oklahoma and Houston, where his dad is the defensive line coach.

Meet the latest flavor of the week: Oklahoma State orange. We’ve gone through Kansas, Texas and
Kansas State. Now it’s the Cowboys in the spotlight after Saturday’s unexpected — at least outside the Pokes’ locker room — triumph at K-State.
Tommy Mason-Griffin had 26 points and Tony Crocker added 20 but it wasn’t enough as Texas Tech rallied in the 2nd half for a 75-65 win over the Sooners in Lubbock. OU’s Willie Warren (avg 17.6 ppg) did not play due to a sprained ankle. The Sooners fall to 11-8 overall, 2-3 in conference and are barely hanging onto the NCAA Tournament bubble at this point in the season.
James Anderson poured in 30 points as the OSU Cowboys notched an impressive Big 12 conference road win over the #9 Kansas State Wildcats. The Pokes were down 3 at half but
put together a 41 point 2nd half in pulling the upset. Wins like these are massive when it comes to RPI and NCAA Tournament time, not to mention the confidence this gives the team going forward. And when you consider that K-State just upset #1 Texas on the very same court, things are suddenly looking very bright for the Cowboys. They will have to survive without starting PG Ray Penn (injured, did not play), but OSU improves to 15-4 and 3-2 in the conference.
STILLWATER, Okla. — Marshall Moses had 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting and matched his career high with 18 rebounds Wednesday night, and Oklahoma State never trailed while beating Colorado 90-78.
Interesting article from NewsOK.com today (link is below). Seems the Pokes are struggling to fill up historic Gallagher-Iba arena this season. It’s representative of a larger national trend since 2001, in the sense that many college programs (excluding rich traditional powers like Kansas, UNC, Kentucky) struggle to fill their basketball arenas during the regular season. The irony here is that OSU fans typically take a lot of pride in their hoops’ teams, and love to pick on Sooner fans for their general lack of interest in supporting the OU basketball program. (OU regularly has one of the lowest student attendance figures in the Big 12). It appears the shoe is on the other foot, at least for now.
COLLEGE STATION, Texas | Texas A&M caught a much-needed break Tuesday night. In the 10 days since their last victory, they had fallen to then-No. 13 Kansas State and No. 1 Texas in a brutal week of road games. The Aggies needed 39 1/2 minutes to take the lead for good against Oklahoma, but with clutch play by Donald Sloan and multiple missed shots by the Sooners, they pulled out a 65-62 win.
LaceDarius Dunn had his third consecutive 20-point game, finishing with 25 points and eight rebounds for No. 22 Baylor in an 83-70 victory over Oklahoma State on Saturday.
